Fall/Winter 2013 menswear -50% picks from Menlook

There are some new items added to the Menlook sale, including this season’s clothes for -50%. Here are some that I thought could be a good bargain, from labels like Jil Sanders and Armani Jeans.

Hope you find these interesting, it’s quite early to put all these new designs on big sale. Menlook has free shipping worldwide, pretty nice, but returns are not for free. Note that I converted the British pounds to US dollars myself.

East Dane shows the standard of efficiency

East Dane was just launched in 2013, but already has one of the best online shopping services around. This can mostly be explained by the sister website Shopbob, which has been offering women’s clothing since 2000. Another big reason is the elephant behind these shops – Amazon. Amazon is the owner of both Shopbob and East Dane.

Image

A good example of the efficiency is the offering of free 3-day shipping and free returns. The site even has Saturday delivery option in the US. The content on the website is pretty much limited to the items they are selling. They do have some style and gift tips, but that’s about all.

Image

The website is a casual website for casual clothes. It’s good to stop by and check the items on sale, but not a website that has the latest brands or the most interesting newcomer designers.

Pros: free shipping and returns, good quality casual clothes, sale

Cons: no interesting content, a bit boring

Hypebeast from street to sneakers, from tech to art

Hypebeast is not really an online menswear shop, a better way to describe it is a blog and a online magazine with a shop. Hypebeast showcases the latest of street fashion with a special love for sneakers.

hypebeast

The Hypebeast store has a broad collection of brands, including the latest of street wear favorites from Paris to Tokyo. There is also a frequent sale that can go up to -80%.

hypebeaststore

The online magazine is a good source of latest on fashion, art and culture. The topics covered on the site are anything from arts to tech. They also have some cool interviews of artists and designers on the youtube channel.

hypebeastmag

Hypebeast is essentially an online magazine, so the store doesn’t have the full service with free returns etc.

Pros: Lots of content on online magazine, great selection, the lifestyle

Cons: No monetary returns, no free returns

Some sale picks from -50% @ Menlook

Menlook has a pretty wide selection in their midseason sale, just on the -50% range they have more than 300 items. Most of the clothes are from F/W 2012, but I guess the basic looks don’t get old that fast. Here are a few picks that I found good from the -50% price.

Paul Navy Shirt FILIPPA K

Filippa K shirt with Italian style collar for £ 48.88 / $ 78.21

Navarro Navy Cardigan JUST CAVALLI

JUST CAVALLI Cardigan for £ 155.13 / $ 248.20

Miky Blue iPad Sleeve BLEU DE CHAUFFE x MENLOOK

iPad sleeve from French Bleu de Chauffe, the color is specially made for Menlook. £40.38 / $ 64.60.

Menlook only has their prices in British pounds on their English website so I converted to US dollars myself with 1,60 USD/GBP. They ship worldwide.

Some of my streetwear favourites from sale @ endclothing

A few picks from the endclothing mid-season sale. These will be useful also as it get colder, at least with proper layers underneath.

Adidas collaboration with Tokyo street wear store Mita. Suede with vintage effect soles. $75 (40% off)

Backpack by Undefeated half price for $99

Saturdays Surf NYC denim jacket for $ 119 (half price)

A bit more luxury from Moncler, a blazer for $605 (60% off), note that the color is navy/white.

A GANT Rugger jacket for $209 (30% off)

Quality cotton shirt by Our Legacy with 60% off now for $65

Check the endclothing sale website for more. The prices shown on this post are Ex Tax, and the website doesn’t have free shipping, so the end price might add up some dollars. In the UK you can get free returns, otherwise you’ll pay the fees.

Is Luisa Via Roma the best source for luxury?

Luisa Via Roma has a long history as a luxury clothing retailer, and it shows in their selection. The website offers clothes from many of the hottest (and most expensive) designers out there today. The website itself concentrates on the products, and there is not much other lifestyle related content. As a small extra they have some style notes, where you can find products that fit to certain style.

Butterfly Catcher

The website is not the source for affordable casual clothes, but there is often products on sale and the percentage can go high. Sometimes you might find some cheapish high end designs that you wouldn’t buy with the full price.

One big plus for the site is that it offers free shipping and returns. Makes it easier to check whether the price of luxury is worth its value.

Pros: good selection of designers, free shipping, frequent sale

Cons, price level, lack of content
